Jon has lived locally in Coalpit Heath with his partner for 16 years. He is passionate about local issues and is leading the local campaign to stop water companies discharging sewage into the Frome.
He has campaigned successfully on road surfaces, Green Belt protection, the Frampton Cotterell nature reserve, better public transport and much more.
At South Glos, Jon is Lib Dem lead member for resources, Lib Dem lead member for Scrutiny and chair of the Audit and Accounts committee. He also sits on Westerleigh Parish Council and is currently contesting an election for a seat on Frampton Cotterell Parish Council alongside fellow Focus Team member Kate Andrews.

The Liberal Democrats welcomed acceptance of their plans to tackle climate change and the cost-of-living crisis at Wednesday’s South Gloucestershire Council budget meeting.
At last night’s Full Council meeting of South Gloucestershire Council Liberal Democrats were dismayed that the ruling Conservative group would not support their motion calling on the government to give water companies and councils the powers to stop poor housing developments exacerbating the already struggling water infrastructure which can lead to raw sewage being discharged into rivers and seas.

South Glos Council has proposed converting the council owned land at Frampton End Farm into a Nature Reserve to support the delivery of the council’s Climate Emergency Declaration.
