South Gloucestershire Liberal Democrats have passed a Council Motion, strongly condemning the ill-advised attempt to remove in-person railway ticket offices across South Gloucestershire.
The Lib Dem and Labour partnership administration have reversed a Conservative cut to the value of vouchers provided to families during school holidays who receive free school meals during term time.
The service, which was due to finish on the 3rd of June, has been called a lifeline for work, school, and doctor appointments as well as for shopping and leisure activities.
On Wednesday 24th May, Councillor Claire Young was formally confirmed as the new Leader of South Glos Council, following the Local Council Election results earlier this month which saw the Liberal Democrats increase its number of Councillors to 20.
The Liberal Democrat and Labour Groups have agreed to work in partnership to run South Gloucestershire Council.
South Gloucestershire Liberal Democrats have launched their manifesto for the Council Elections on the 4th of May.
