As ward councillors David, Tristan and I have worked hard with the South Glos administration to ensure that the Land East of Roundways is not allocated for development in the new South Glos Local Plan which has been put forward for adoption. We know just how valued this land is from our experiences of defending it against development when previous, now abandoned plans attempted to build 1,800 homes there. 

Therefore we’re disappointed that Bloor Homes are now considering a planning application for 450 homes on this land as speculative development before the new plan is adopted. 

We would like to make residents aware that Bloor Homes are planning a drop-in event in The Miners on 11th July between noon and 7pm where they will be presenting their proposals and we would like to encourage as many residents as possible to attend that event to make their views known.
