Frog Lane: Plans for 900 New Homes?

A screening opinion application has been submitted to South Glos Council about plans for up to 900 residential dwellings, new vehicular access from Badminton Road, a primary school, local centre with community facilities, public open space, habitat enhancement and associated infrastructure.

The extent of the development would stretch from Woodside Road in the south to slightly beyond Frog Lane to the north It would also extend to the east far further than the proposals at Roundways.

A screening opinion application is a precursor to a full planning application in order to determine whether an environmental impact assessment is required alongside any full application - but it does indicate full plans are very likely to be submitted.

The application can be found by searching for P25/023/SCR on the South Glos planning website, but it currently has no detail at all. It is not possible for residents to comment on screening opinions, but you will be able to do so once a full application is received.

This land is similar to the land at Roundways - in that development here is not in the draft Local Plan, not wanted by the South Glos administration and will be opposed by ward councillors.
