Bloor Homes Appeals Roundways
Bloor Homes have appealed to the Secretary of State on the grounds that South Glos have not determined the application for up to 450 new homes at Roundways according to the statutory timeline, so there is to be a South Glos committee meeting to agree what South Glos’ decision would have been if it had made a decision in time - prior to a public appeal before a government planning inspector.
There will be a sites inspection at Roundways on 11th September where members of the public will be allowed three minutes in total to speak - and committee members will be able to view the site.
A follow up meeting on 17th September will decide what South Glos’ decision would have been had it been determined before the deadline. This decision will be crucial to the subsequent appeal. Members of the public will be allowed time (a combined total of five minutes) to speak at this meeting as well.
Ward councillors continue to oppose this development for a variety of reasons including its inappropriateness in the Green Belt and how a development of such a size is unsustainable here.
