Edward Ware Homes will be holding a public drop-in session in The Miners to present their plans for up to 900 homes off Frog Lane which would hugely extend the north-eastern edge of Coalpit Heath.

Ward councillors remain opposed to development on this land because it is important Green Belt land that continues to be protected by the draft South Glos Local Plan. The draft Local Plan allocates where housing should go over the next 15 years, has been submitted to the Planning Inspectorate for public examination, and does not allocate this land for development. Ward councillors will attend the meeting too and look forward to hearing the views of local people on the proposals.
