Claire Young's Local Health Survey

Campaigning for better health services in Thornbury, Yate, Chipping Sodbury and our local villages

Join Claire Young's fight to get better local health services.

Making sure people across our area have access to the best health services is her top priority.

It doesn’t matter whether you are old or young, rich or poor - our NHS is there for you every day. The doctors, nurses and thousands of health professionals and staff do an amazing job for our community.

But unfortunately health staff and patients have been badly let down by this Government.

Years of under-investment by the Conservatives has left the NHS on the brink.

Ambulance waiting times have hit record highs. Every week we speak to residents in our area who tell us they’ve struggled to get an appointment with their GP or an NHS dentist. It’s shocking that currently no dental surgeries in South Glos are taking on new NHS patients without referrals!

And rather than act to fix the problems, the Conservatives are picking fights with nurses and junior doctors. This Government has lost its way and clearly doesn’t take the crisis in our health service seriously.

The Liberal Democrats are fighting for a fair deal for South Gloucestershire‘s NHS.

We’re campaigning to recruit an extra 8,000 GPs, expand the role of pharmacists and improve pay to encourage more people to work in the care sector. All this would have a positive impact - easing the pressure on our hospitals and bringing down waiting times.

We want to hear what you think about health services in our community - what your experiences have been and what you believe could help improve them.

Please take a minute to fill in the survey using the link below. Together we can get a better deal for our health services - so everyone in our community gets the care they deserve when they need it.
