Lib Dems call for South Glos MPs to show the courage and tell constituents whether they still think Boris Johnson is fit to govern

Johnson "I'd do it again!"

South Glos Liberal Democrats are calling on the two silent Conservative MPs Luke Hall and Chris Skidmore to explain whether they supported Boris Johnson in the confidence vote yesterday. So far only Jack Lopresti has come out in support of Boris Johnson, while Luke Hall and Chris Skidmore have remained quiet.

The Liberal Democrats have been calling for Boris Johnson to resign since revelations about parties in 10 Downing Street started to emerge. With 124 fines now issued, 10 Downing Street is the most fined address in the country.

Leader of South Glos Lib Dems Claire Young, says: “This is all getting ridiculous. Boris Johnson is the first Prime Minister to be proven a law breaker, he is under investigation in parliament to determine whether he lied to MPs and he has even admitted he would do it all over again in the same circumstances! This is a man who is not fit to govern and it is only fair that MPs who represent us speak out and explain their actions.”

“It is shocking that 211 MPs chose to keep Boris Johnson in power yesterday and it seems only fair we know exactly what our MPs chose to do with their vote. They represent us in parliament and should be held accountable for their actions.”
