South Gloucestershire Housing Development Survey

jsp_consultation_weB.jpgA consultation is underway on a plan that could have a major impact on
our area. The Joint Spatial Plan will say where housing should be
built in the four West of England Authorities over the next twenty
years. The consultation document contains proposals for a further:

  • 2,600 homes in the green belt around Yate / Chipping Sodbury
  • 1,500 homes on green belt land adjacent to Coalpit Heath
  • 1,000 homes in Charfield
  • 600 homes in Thornbury
  • 2,200 homes in a new garden village at Buckover, close to Thornbury

You can read more and have your say here.

At the same time, the West of England is also consulting on a package
of transport proposals. You can find out more and have your say on
those here.

We would like to hear from you on what you think about these proposals.
